I am posting my comment, especially to express my surprise & curiosity about why such a good writer would wish to remain anonymous, why he or she does not wish to disclose their identity & claim due credit for such good work, in the public domain? I hope my observations may make him/her to change their mind & we get to know who this fine writer is, soon.

I must add that as a Media Man, Critic & Writer, quite well known in the Mumbai Media Space, especially in the fields of Entertainment, Cinema, Music & the Arts in general, I have been very fortunate to have know a few very amazing & hugely talented personalities (and through them, also their families) who made their mark in their chosen fields. One such incredibly gifted writer, lyricist was Shamsul Huda Bihari, a very low-profile personality, who was popularly known so much as S. H. Bihari, not many people really knew or related to his full name.

I am very happy that I was one of the rare exceptions to that rule, because I found something very appealing about the way Shamsul Huda Bihari sounded, even in those good old days, when there was so much warmth & relationships endured over long periods of time.

Today, as I write this, I very fondly recall that some of Huda Sahab's children studied in my old college, R. D. National's in Bandra, which also boasted of so many other kids, of other celebrated fiimi families, Naushad Ali being one of the other most prominent examples. And this is also how I got to know those great personalities & their families so very well.

Today, I recall very fondly some of my occasional visits to Shamsul Huda Bihari Sahab's simple & moderately-sized cottage in Chand Society in Juhu, very close to the beach, which has since been demolished & now a very humongous edifice of some billionare is being built on that land. He always treated me as if I was a part of his family. And those few rare sessions, conversations with him, on filmi topics, with him reciting his verses at times, sharing cups of hot chai, along with piping hot pakodas - I will cherish forever. I am very sure, wherever he is right now, Shamsul Huda Bihari must be conjuring up some new beautiful verses, he was such a magician with words and Love, Romance, Emotions flew so naturally from his versatile pen. All the reasons why he has always remained one of my most favourite song writers of Bollywood. Imran Merchantnoreply@blogger.com
